The Oxford boys cross country team brought home an honorable third place finish in the Metro Championships last Wednesday at Springfield Oaks.
Oxford was set to take the fifth place finish before the meet due to their 4-3 record, but the team outran Clio and Brandon to take home third.
Oxford runners senior captain Adam Richmond (17:31/9th), sophomore Ben Cole (17:39/13th), and senior captain Todd Davidson (17:42/14th) all medalled for the Wildcats with their top finishes.
Other contributors were John Elin 22nd, Adam Heskitt 25th, Mike Szabo 40th, and Greg White 42nd.
The Oxford girls finished fifth at the Metro Championships last week.
Top finishers for Oxford was Taylor Dewey 22nd, Heather Nester 24th, Danielle Kelley 27th, Abby Stewart 28th, Kelsea Schodowski 32nd, Ellen Darnall 39th, and Kathryn Burt 40th.
