The Lake Orion Baptist Lions hosted Faith of Lapeer in their final game of 2005 on Dec. 29. The Lions started slowly, but clamped down in the second quarter, outscoring their opponent 22 to 2.
The bench played well in the second half, as the Lions cruised to a 66-29 victory. The win brings the Lions record to 3-4.
Senior Clinton Verley led all scorers with 15 points and seven rebounds. Center Matt Dobis added 12 points and seven boards. Point guard Ben Cuyler added 10 points and Eric Dewar chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds.
The Lions next take to the court on Jan. 6 at Springfield Christian.
