Clarkston Post Office holds food drive

The Clarkston Post Office is once again participating in the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive on May 13. All donations collected go to Lighthouse North.
This year, the NALC say a need to hold a food drive due to a decrease in donations. In addition, with the school year coming to an end, children no longer receive school lunches.
In the past, the Clarkston Post Office saw a large success with the drive, and hopes to do so again this year.
Donations should be nonperishable, canned or dry goods. Lighthouse does not distribute outdated, opened or food in damaged containers.
To donate, please place your donations in your mail box for the letter carriers to pick up on Saturday, May 13. If you are going to be gone that day, donations can be left at the carrier annex on M-15.
Volunteers to assist with the pickup are again appreciated. Anyone interested in helping with the May 13 collection can contact either Paul Sharkey or Jerri Duncan with the post office at 248-625-0648 or Connie Stapleton with Lighthouse at 248-620-6116.
