Aller achieves special design certification

Stephen Auger + Associates Architects (SA+A Architects) is pleased to announce Christopher M. Aller AIA, LEED-AP? has recently achieved LEED? certification.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the recognized standard for design and construction of green buildings in the United States and other countries around the world. The green building rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, promotes building and design practices that are environmentally responsible.
Aller, a principal at SA+A Architects, will oversee the certification process for clients wanting to obtain LEED Certification for their projects as well as the coordination of continuing education for SA+A project managers, clients, consultants, municipalities and other interested public groups.
Aller is attending this year’s American Institute of Architects national convention in San Antonio where the conference will focus on green architecture.
‘I have always had a strong interest in the environmental impact of buildings on the ecosphere,? he said. ‘We are at the front end of a movement that I would like to be more about thought than feeling, more about science than good intentions; we as architects are in a perfect position to see that this is possible. We have practiced this approach to design for years and we welcome the opportunity to formally quantify the process and its benefits.?
