The Orion Township Board of Trustees passed a resolution at their Nov. 5 meeting adopting the Parks & Recreation Open Spaces Master Plan.
The plan, which has been in the works with Wade Trim since last November, was the subject of a public hearing on Oct. 1 (as profiled in The Review).
‘After consideration of public comments, the Gingell Nature Area map and description were revised to remove the wood chip trail per the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee at the Oct. 25 meeting,? said Parks & Rec Director Rock Blanchard in a memo to the board.
‘Additionally, the plans for the new park, ‘Stone Gate Park,? were updated and included per the construction plans,? he added. ‘Once approved, the master plan will be forwarded to the DNR for their approval.?
