The General Motors Orion Assembly Center was honored along with 10 other Michigan facilities last month for maintaining their Clean Corporate Citizen (C3) status for five years or more. The Department of Environmental Quality recognized the 11 honorees at a ceremony in Lansing on March 27.
The C3 program is a voluntary incentive program recognizing Michigan’s top environmental performers.
To qualify for a C3 designation, candidates must implement a facility-specific environment management system, adopt an active pollution prevention program, and have a consistent record of compliance with applicable state and federal environmental requirements.
