Delicious smells from tamales, enchiladas, tacos, and salsa filled North Sashabaw Elementary on Nov. 5.
The school celebrated their 1st Annual Hispanic Festival.
Besides eating scrumptious food, the kids enjoyed decorating pinatas, making mats, flags and paper flowers.
The Clarkston High School Spanish Club stopped by to teach the language and make sure all the kids and adults were rolling their ‘r’s? correctly.
The event was capped off with performances by Mexican Folk dancers – some were North Sashabaw students – and a Jalisco singer.
Organizer Wendy Reuhl said next year’s festival is going to be bigger.
