NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FOR A VERTICAL AND LATERAL EXPANSION OF AN EXISTING SOLID WASTE TYPE II LANDFILL
Part 115 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended, provides for a public hearing on a construction permit application. The application is for a vertical and lateral expansion of Waste Management of Michigan, Inc., a Solid Waste Type II Landfill, located at 600 West Silver Bell Road, Lake Orion Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
The Department of Environmental Quality has received a request for a public hearing in reference to the Waste Management of Michigan, Inc. Eagle Valley landfill expansion. Therefore, the Department will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 7:00 PM, at the Lake Orion Township Hall, located at 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion Township, Oakland County.
The complete application package may be reviewed at the office of the Waste Management Division, Department of Environmental Quality, 38980 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality proposes to reissue a discharge permit authorization for a wastewater discharge to the ground or groundwater, pursuant to Rule 2218 of the Part 22 Rules of Part 31 Water Resources Protection, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (Act 451) being Sections 324.3101 through 324.3119 of the Compiled Laws of Michigan, and the administrative rules promulgated there under, to:

The applicant proposes to discharge a maximum 35,000 gallons per day (12,775,000 gallons per year) of sanitary sewage wastewater only to the ground and groundwater from their discharge areas located in the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 18, T5N, R9E, Brandon Township, Oakland County.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE, that the Land and Water Management Division of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing at the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan, on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of this hearing is to secure the views of interested persons concerning the following application for permit:
Application for Permit 06-63-0089-P/06-63-0001-M under Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended, by Mat Dunaskiss, 535 Cushing, Lake Orion, Michigan. The applicant is seeking after-the-fact approval to operate a private marina at 460 Cushing, on Lake Orion. Four existing and one proposed dock on the southern end of the project site will provide dockage for a total of ten watercraft. The docks range in size from 4 feet wide by 20 feet long, to 3 feet wide by 23 feet long. There will also be provisions for a possible jet-ski lift on the north side of the site, and an additional watercraft dockage at an existing 30-foot concrete broadside dockage area (boat standing) on the northeastern end of the site. No fueling, pump-out facilities, or other services are proposed for this project. The project is located in T4N, R10E, Sections 2 & 3, Orion Township, Oakland County, Michigan.

Public hearings are primarily informational and are held to encourage the expression of views and presentation of facts.
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality will, upon written request, provide a copy of the Department’s decision on this application.

The applicant owns and operates a mobile home community. The applicant discharges treated sanitary wastewater to an unnamed wetland adjacent to the Shiawassee River, in the NW1/4, NE1/4, Section 35, Town 5 N, Range 7 E, Oakland County.

The purpose of this hearing is to secure the views of interested persons concerning the following application for permit:
Application for Permit 04-63-0314-P under Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended by Oakland County Parks & Recreationm 2800 Watkins lake Road, Waterford, Michigan. The applicant is proposing to construct a boardwalk, bridge, and asphalt path to create a closed 2.1 mile improved loop that will connect the newly constructed Organizational Youth Campgraound to the West side of the Independence Oaks Park and offer park users the opportunity to access the area for recreation activities. The raised boardwalk will be 1,104 feet long and 8 feet wide. The curved manufactured wood and steel bridge will be 40 feet long and 10 feet wide, crossing the Clinton River, and require 6 cubic yards of excavation in 0.003 acre of wetland to install the abutments. The asphalt path will be 5, 034 linear feet and 8 feet wide connecting the existing trail to the obardwalk and wetland areas. The project is located in T4N, R9E, Section 3 & 4, Independence Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
