Clarkston Area Optimist Club honored 14 Clarkston-area students with Elementary School Awards, Jan. 20, at its Youth Appreciation Breakfast
“This is a very large honor,” said Optimist Joan McCrary. “Principals choose students who most meet the Optimist Club Creed.”
All seven Clarkston elementary school principals presented awards to the students, accompanied by their parents, grandparents, and siblings.
‘This is a great way to start the day, spending time with the families we don’t usually spend time with,? said Bailey Lake Elementary Principal Glenn Gualtieri.
‘There are 14 incredible kids here today ? the best of the best,? said Springfield Plains Elementary Principal Katherine Leh.
The Optimists will honor students grades 6-12 at their meeting next week.
