Dear Editor,
In order for the Village of Goodrich to move forward we must stop living in the past. Some of your readers continue to chronicle the events of the past which obstruct the healing of the village. The agenda which the new council intends to promote is one which hopefully will be embraced by all the residents of the village. By using an open process, members of the council will seek the most qualified candidates for the position of village manager. A search for a village attorney will be an open and independent effort to find the most qualified by reviewing resumes submitted by interested parties. A village website will be created so all residents can view the council’s activities.
We can go on indefinitely assigning blame and pointing fingers at who had responsibility for past problems. Instead, let’s attempt to put the past behind us and work toward building a better village through unified cooperation.
