All types of pets are invited to Advanced Pet Care of Oakland’s Barktoberfest Pet Costume Contest and Open House, 12-3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 16.
Other activities at the center, 6378 Sashabaw Road, will include educational tours of the hospital, hot cider with the veterinary staff, pumpkin painting, door prizes, games and photos.
Donations from pictures and raffles go to the Angel Fund to help homeless and stray animals in need of medical care.
