Two league champion swimmers

Swimmers finished the season during the MHSAA Division 1 State Finals during the weekend.
The Clarkston Boys Swim and Dive team was represented by seven swimmers and one diver. The boys finished the season in preliminaries.
The relay teams placed as follows: 200-yard medley relay team of Steven Nelson, Isaac Young, Zach Rabideau and Eric Misteravich, 24th place at 1:40.54; 200-yard freestyle relay team of Nelson, Rabideau, Misteravich and Patrict Bemis, 18th at 1:29.33; and in the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Nelson, Rabideau, Misteravich and Kyle Inch in 24th at 3:18.96.
In individual events, for the 50-yard freestyle, Nelson finished in 17th, 22.31 and Misteravich finished in 43rd, 22.93; the 100-yard butterfly, Rabideau in 34th, 54.76; the 500-yard freestyle, Inch in 22nd, 4:51.61; the 100-yard backstroke, Landon Holloway in 27th, 56.88; the 100-yard breastroke, Young in 32nd, 1:03.01 and Joe Zendejas tied for 30th with West Bloomfield in the 1-meter diving event.
The team had their last meet, Feb. 23-25, at Lake Orion for the OAA Red league competition.
They finished with two league champions – Nelson in the 50-yard freestyle event, 22.22; and Zendejas in 1-meter diving with 403.15 points.
The Wolves finished in sixth place with 216 points at the meet and finished sixth place overall in the league with a 1-6 record.
