Clarkston Area Optimists Club honored two Students of the Month for April, Kendall Hine from Independence Elementary and North Sashabaw Elementary student Dylan Donovan.
‘She’s a shining star, upbeat, a smile on her face no matter what,? said Hine’s teacher, Jenny Warner. ‘She’s a positive friend to everyone, enthusiastic, always going a step above and beyond.?
Donovan, also known in school as ‘Mr. Dylan,? greets the world with open arms and an open mind, said his teacher, Mary Skorupski.
‘He’s always willing to try new things,? Skorupski said. ‘He’s deeply empathetic to all others, a deep thinker with strong convictions.?
