The 90 N. Main Street building isn’t the only deal Curt Catallo has going. He’s also in talks with Clarkston Knights of Columbus to purchase the Catholic service organization’s Maybee Road center.
“The Knights of Columbus hall is a nice facility,” said Catallo, who has signed some purchasing papers. “I have my fingers crossed on that project as well.”
The Clarkston Knights aren’t disbanding, but they aren’t able to maintain the facility themselves, said Bill Methner, building manager.
“We’ll still be in the community ? we’re not going to disappear,” Methner said.
The Knights work with Our Lady of the Lakes and St. Dan’s Catholic churches, so they may rent space at those or other locations.
Catallo wants to use the building for catering, as well as community events.
“It would let us take on any catering that comes our way ? catering can be a taxing thing to do from a busy restaurant,” he said.
