Riding into their competitive meets

The Lady Wolves ready to ride into the district meets as they are well-prepared for the 2012 season.
The Clarkston Equestrian Team competes in back-to-back meets Sept. 8-9 and a third meet on Sept. 15. All three meets are held at the Armada Fairgrounds.
The small but very versatile Division C team is made up of five members: Captain Emma Johnson, Becka Leek, Vika McCallum, Sarah Pobuda, and Rachel Vieira.
The riders compete in showmanship, huntseat, saddleseat, western, bareback, trail, jumping, reining, and speed classes. All five riders will compete in three to six different classes, depending on experience, and they are ready to show their strengths in all of them.
They have been practicing together all summer and showing in 4-H shows in preparation for the season to come.
Head Coach Tim Pobuda as well as assistant coaches Darci Molina and Jessica Parke are excited to see strong riding skills emerging in several performance areas.
‘We expect the team to carry on the tradition of competing for the district title,? said Pobuda.
