The Oakhurst Homeowners Association is partnering with the Library Yes committee and presumptive Supervisor-elect Pat Kittle to present information on six state ballot proposals set for a vote, Nov. 6.
The guest speaker is Michael D. LaFaive, director of the Morey Policy Initiative at Mackinac Center for Public Policy. All are welcome at the event, Thursday, Oct. 25, 7-8 p.m., in the Fireside Room at the Oakhurst Clubhouse.

Independent Tea Party Patriots host a Ballot Proposal Educational Meeting, 6:30 p.m., Sept. 12, at Fountains Golf and Banquet Center, 6060 Maybee Road.
Manny Lopez, managing editor of Michigan Capitol Confidential, will discuss potential ballot proposals to amend Michigan Constitution to include the right to collectively bargain, unionize home-based caregivers, referendum on the Emergency Manager law, no state taxes without two-third vote in state house, and amend the state constitition to require 25 percent of energy come from renewable sources by 2025.
‘The November election will impact the future of this state and nation like none we have ever seen and the ballot proposals are part of that as well,? said Kevin Chase, one of the ITPP founders.
