Independence and Orion Townships are working together to connect safety paths along Maybee road. Independence’s safety path follows Maybee road and ends at Blackberry Lane, 505 feet short of Orion’s path on Rohr road.
If plans to join the paths move forward, Orion Township will complete the construction, and Independence will reimburse them up to $50,000 to finish up their 505-foot portion of the asphalt pathway.
