Swimmers dive into season with wins

The Wolves are off to a great start for their winter season after beating three opponents and had quite a few swimmers qualify for the Oakland County Meet in February.
The Clarkston Boys Swim and Dive team opened the season against Oxford for a 91-38 win.
Landon Holloway, James Nelson, Dalton Pokley and Eric Misteravich qualified for the Division 1 state finals with a time of 1:42.42 in the 200-yard medley relay event. Nelson also qualified for a trip to the finals in the 100-yard breast stroke event with his time of 1:02.55.
The boys continued with a 150-30 win over Royal Oak on Dec. 18. First year swimmers Nelson, Jack Bacon, Ian Benson, Mitchell Biggs, Alejandro Cordoba, Mathew Culver, Isaac Keer, Josh Kuczera, Andrew Vassilakos and Matt Zurek continued help the team during the meet.
The Wolves continued their hunt when they faced Avondale, Dec. 20. Pokley made his state time of 54.76 in the 100-yard butterfly event as the team won the meet, 129-54.
The boys head to Rochester Adams on Thursday, 6 p.m.
