Local author Martha Swanson visited Andersonville Elementary, Feb. 19, helping students get ready for March Reading Month.
The author of the picture book ‘Milly and Roxy,? about two dogs and their adventures in Clarkston, led an assembly about the writing process. Capping the assembly was a visit by the titular canines.
The assembly also included an interview of the author by fifth grader Kayla Stark.
‘I really enjoyed it ? I enjoy writing,? Stark said.
Swanson’s second book, about the pups? antics around Michigan, is due to arrive in late spring.
