The last time Supervisor Chris Barnett checked, 992 community members had responded to a new survey posted on the Orion Township website.
The Orion Township survey, found at oriontownship.org, was created to gather feedback from residents on a variety of topics, Barnett said.
From why residents chose to live in Orion Township, to what they think about consolidating garbage services, the survey will touch on a number of current topics.
‘It’s been an idea of mine since I’ve been elected, to get constant feedback from the residents. There has been a lot of things happening downtown’the Bald Mountain Development being one’and a lot of things of interest to people, so we thought now was a good time to see how people think we are doing.?
The survey was posted Monday, August 17, and will be available for all residents for about a month.
One question asks if residents would be willing to support a dedicated road millage for improvements to Orion’s roads.
Another question asks residents? opinions in supporting the Orion Township Fire Departments? further training to include a non-transporting Basic Life Support agency. Two options are outlined for residents to consider’one for Non-Transport Basic Life Support, and the other for Advanced Life Support Transporting, which would require a new millage needed to train all firefighters to the paramedic level.
Questions also touch on police patrol and safety levels, parks and recreation additions and amenities, safety paths, and other township services.
Residents will have the opportunity to voice their overall satisfaction, and give input on anything they would like changed.
