Yale — On June 8 the North Branch Broncos Girls Volleyball team defeated the Goodrich Martians in the Region 16 finals 3-2.
GHS pitching ace Jayden Goh had 15 strikeouts, GHS Sophie Swanson had a home run for the Martians.
The Lady Martians won the semi finals game by defeating the Clio Mustangs 1-0 in the first round of the Regional. North Branch defeated Owosso Trojans 4-3 to reach the Regional Championship game vs Goodrich.
The Martians finished the season 31-5-1.
