Atlas Twp. — Martian Max Macklem tallied the first touchdown and his teammates followed for 48 points en route to a 48-6 homecoming victory for the Goodrich Martians Varsity Football team over the Owosso Trojans on Sept. 27.
Since dropping the season opener to Frankenmuth the Martians have now rolled out four straight wins outscoring opponents 221-21,
GHS Chase Burnett led the way with four TDs on 20 carries for 128 yards and Jakoby Lagat tallied a pair on the ground as the Martians won their fourth straight game before a packed house at Roy U Stacy Athletic Complex.
The Martians kept the ball on the ground with 40 carries for 310 yards and just eight completions for 73 yards in the air. The Martians had 18 first downs and dominated time of possession with 30 minutes to 17 for the Trojans.
Trojan Liam Patrick carried the ball seven times for 39 yards and completed seven passes for 101 yards.
