In the good old days, students used to tell their teachers, ‘The dog ate my homework.?
Lakeville Elementary third-grader Zachary Hinman put a new twist on that old excuse ? the dog was his homework.
For his science project, the young man shaved an inch of fur off his dog, Jade, and an inch of hair off his own head.
The purpose was to see which would grow back faster. Hinman’s hypothesis proved correct and 30 days later, the dog’s fur grew 4.5 centimeters while his hair only grew 1 centimeter.
