A crisp, cool autumn day didn’t keep people away from Orion Township Parks and Recreation’s annual Barn Daze on Oct. 8. at Friendship Park.
Crowds gathered around the pavilion to sample small cups of chili created by local teams for Orion Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Chili Challenge.
History buffs got a chance to see a Civil War encampment and battle reenactments.
It was a special day for kids. They got a chance to ride ponies, play games, ride in a haywagon, pet some animals and bounce around on inflatable amusments.
Barn Daze is a celebration of the Porritt Barn being moved to the park in 2000. Members of the Orion Historical Society conducted tours of the barn
