Oh, the irony of it all . . . after months of being closed to thru-traffic this accident occurred on Lakeville Road at Lake George only hours after re-opening to the public last Friday afternoon. The 24-year-old Dryden woman who was driving the pickup truck was cited for “failure to yield,” according to sources at the Oakland County Sheriff’s Substation in Addison Township. She was north bound on Lake George, stopped and proceeded over Lakeville Road in front of the Pontiac sedan, which was east bound on Lakeville.
