AmberWay Stables, come ride with us

AmberWay Stables is much more than a beautiful 56-acre equestrian facility? it’s a destination.
‘When people come out, they come out to spend an afternoon or an evening,? says Brian Lynch, who co-owns AmberWay Stables with his fianc? Beth Bakotic. ‘It’s a comfortable and pleasantly sociable environment that lets people unwind, and relax. Our overall atmosphere is what sets us apart.?
Lynch and Bakotic bought the former K-Farms, located at 1100 Bird Road, on May 16, 2006. Since then, they’ve added new stalls, completely remodeled the observation room, added a new bathroom, repaired the footings in the show rings, cleaned up the grounds, and added amenities like a coffee machine with 10 different flavors of coffee, cold Starbucks Drinks, snacks, and teas. They also have Pizza Saturday compliments of the barn, which has been a huge hit, says Lynch.
The facility also features a 60×220 indoor riding arena, two outdoor show rings, two outdoor warm-up rings, two tack rooms, indoor wash stalls with warm water, daily turnout, a top quality feed program by ADM, camping sites with hook-ups, and beautiful walking trails.
‘We invite our boarders to come out and not only enjoy themselves riding, but take a swim in the lake, take their dog for a walk through the trails, or have a picnic,? Lynch said.
AmberWay Stables currently has openings for boarding and lessons students for both beginner and experienced riders. The facility also hosts MHJA and USEF sanctioned horse shows by K-Farms LTD throughout the year.
Bakotic and Lynch live on the property, as do two other full-time grooms that take care of the horses. The horses are never unattended.
Lynch and Bakotic have more than doubled the business since they took over, but say more is needed to sustain an operation such as this. That is why on March 24, they look forward to expanding it further with the opening of Equine Gatherings at AmberWay Stables, a tack shop with everything needed for English riding. Inventory will include halters, bridles, brushes, supplements, saddle pads, and many other items for horse and rider.
AmberWay Stables will also have summer camps this year and Lynch plans to open the pool this summer for campers and boarders. They will also offer beginner horseback riding lessons through Brandon Township Parks and Recreation.
‘We have the best group of boarders and students that anyone could dream of,? says Lynch. ‘It’s a nice, fun group of people that thoroughly enjoy the sport.?
AmberWay Stables will host a C show April 28-29, an A, B, and Pony show July 19-22; and a C and Pony show Oct. 13-14. All are free and open to the public, and Lynch invites anyone who has had the smallest inclination to get into horseback riding to come and find what AmberWay Stables has to offer..
