There’s nothing quite like the warm glow of community and friends to take the chill off a cold winter’s night.
Alumni, supporters and staff of the Upland Hills School in Addison Township gathered Saturday evening for the 7th annual Community Showcase held at the Karen Joy Theatre on Indian Lake Rd.
The night began with some wonderful musical entertainment featuring a variety of performers who delighted the crowd with everything from folk music to jazz.
The talented musicians were a mix of Upland Hills alumni and staff. In addition to playing original songs they wrote, the performers covered the works of music legends such as Cole Porter and James Taylor.
Afterwards, everyone went over to the school to shop at the indoor farmers market.
Available goods included handmade purses and bags, farm-fresh eggs, baked goods, gourmet Italian fare, honey, grass-fed beef and all-natural skin care products.
