Andersonville Elementary students have more books to add to their favorites list.
The media center received 135 new books after being awarded a $500 grant from Target Corporation.
It was in recognition of the school’s efforts to make sure every child knows how to read.
‘We are so excited to be selected by the Auburn Hills Target store as the winner of this grant,? said principal Bruce Martin. ‘Our children will benefit greatly from the new books. Times are tough financially for our schools these days, so gifts like these can make a huge impact.?
The grant is part of Target’s ongoing efforts to build strong, safe and healthy communities across the country.
