Appointments to Addison boards

After Erich Senft was appointed Addison Township Trustee last September, it left an open seat on both the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) and the Fire Board. After some searching for replacements, Supervisor Bruce Pearson brought forth a recommendation at the Dec. 15 regular board meeting.
Pearson recommended resident Bob DeWitt for the job. DeWitt, who is an attorney in Troy, previously served on the fire board and as a township trustee for Brandon Township.
‘He comes with a lot of experience and I’ve had several talks with him,? Pearson said. ‘I asked if he would accept the responsibility of being placed on the fire board as well as the ZBA and he took an evening to talk it over with his wife and he came back and agreed that it would be his pleasure to do that.?
DeWitt’s term on the Fire Board will expire June 2017 and his ZBA Term will expire June of 2016
Pearson also recommended Philip Marshall, who currently serves on the planning commission to be appointed to the board of review. Marshall has been a resident of Addison for 39 years.
‘I think he would be very good. He knows the whole area here, he’s lived here a long time,? Pearson added. ‘I think he’d be a great addition to the board of review when people come in and have questions about their taxes.?
Marhsall’s will serve a two-year term on Board of Review and will replace Gerald Garea.
