Atlas Twp. – Atlas Township may get a golf driving range.
Property owned by Gerald Barnett, located on M-15 approximately one-half mile north of Brown’s Do-it Center may be turned into a driving range by architectural firm API Inc. of Grand Blanc. The project was presented to the Atlas Township Planning Commission at its May 19 meeting.
Because the proposal is allowed as a conditional use in a C-2 zoning district, a public hearing will be held at the next planning commission meeting, slated for 7 p.m. June 16.
The site plan, which was tabled to allow the opportunity to address issues raised by engineering firm Wade Trim, will be further reviewed at that time, says planning commission vice chairman Rick Misek.
