The LOHS Boys Basketball team took to the court Thursday Dec. 20 against a scrappy Romeo High School. The Dragons trailed most of the entire game, yet were able to edge out a close victory over the visiting Bulldogs 55-52.
The Bulldogs brought a tough physical game along with sharp shooting from the outside, but the disciplined Dragon half-court game ultimately proved too much for the tenacious Bulldogs.
‘Teams from the MAC conference, especially Romeo, always play very physical,? Coach Risi. ‘We don’t see it much’we’re just not used to that much physicality and it showed. Our kids had to man up in the second half and they answered the bell.?
Lake Orion Senior Chaz Miller led all scorers with 23 points; John McCarty had 12. Romeo’s Alex Campo had 21 in defeat. The Dragons advance to 5-1 overall. Their next match will be on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m against cross county rival Clarkston.
