DeVry University announced Lake Orion resident Georgianna Bailey as dean of its Southfield center.
Bailey brings an extensive background in business administration and operations, and student services to her new position at DeVry University.
As dean, Bailey will facilitate the overall operations of the center and work with students to ensure they fulfill their academic goals.

Prior to joining DeVry University, Bailey was the director of operations and student services at University of Phoenix’s Detroit campus.
During her more than nine years there, she also served as director of finance and an associate campus director. Additionally, Bailey was an adjunct faculty member, teaching critical thinking, ethics in management, teamwork and conflict resolution.
Bailey earned a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix in Detroit, a bachelor’s degree in individualized studies in natural and social sciences from Lourdes College and an associate degree in liberal arts in science from Owens Community College.
