Last week, Oxford Bank employees donated $2,000 to Lighthouse Emergency Services of Clarkston and the Ortonville Community Emergency Fund (OCEF).
The money was raised through the bank’s ‘Dress Down for Charity? program. It allows employees the opportunity to donate at least $1 to charity in exchange for dressing in casual attire during the fourth Friday of the month.
The $2,000 raised represented money donated during the 2008 fiscal year.
Lighthouse of Oakland County helps families move from poverty and crisis to independence and self-sufficiency with a variety of services.
Since 1980, OCEF’s been providing food for distressed neighbors living in the Brandon school district.
