Annette Thomas of Clarkston is collecting new or gently used, clean blankets for donation to My Brother’s Keeper homeless shelter in Flint.
‘The focus is always on Detroit or Pontiac. Flint seems to have become the forgotten city,? Thomas said. ‘People give during the holidays, but nights are getting bitterly cold now.?
Donate blankets, as well as pajamas, socks, and underwear for families, through Nov. 19.
Call Thomas at 248-821-8911 for curbside pickup of donations. A donation box will also be at the Clarkston News office, 5 S. Main Street.
