Bordines celebrates 25 years

Bordine Nursery in Clarkston recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary celebration.
All four generations of the Bordine family were on hand to pay tribute to the Clarkston store and enjoy cake and coffee with fellow employees and customers.
It was an extra special event as it was co-founder of Bordine Nursery Marian Bordine’s 88th birthday. State Senator Mike Bishop gave an official tribute to the Clarkston location and another tribute to Marian Bordine. She resides in Florida, but has to be back in Michigan by May 1 to visit the greenhouses.
The store opened in 1978 and has been growing ever since. Clarkston is the second location, with Rochester Hills being the first location opened in 1939. The Clarkston location is where some of the growing/production is done, especially bedding plants.
The Nursery is giving 25 shade trees to be divided between Clarkston, Independence and Springfield Townships to plant whereever they wish.
