Lake Orion High School’s forensics team claimed third place at its first competition of the season in Anchor Bay on Feb. 4. Finalists included Anthony Mandalari, storytelling; Breanna James, oratory; Steven Graves, storytelling; Shayda Soraya, sales 9/10; Samantha Weaver, sales; Katie Grantham first place in poetry; and Will Mason, first place in informative. Mason finished with perfect scores from all judges in all rounds. The team next competes in Birch Run on Feb. 11.
