Orion Township recently hired Aaron Whatley as its recreation programmer. He will be in charge of all recreational programming, as well as youth and adult athletic leagues. Whatley also will help coordinate special events and manage the exercise facility at the new Orion Center.
In addition, his job will entail expanding the township’s youth camps and programs with a focus on fitness. Whatley graduated from Lake Orion High School and received a bachelor’s degree in recreation leadership and management from Ferris State University. He started in his new position earlier this week.
