They’re almost here — the fireworks over Lake Orion. And though the show is on schedule, funding is still a hair off. According to Fireworks Association President Carl Cyrowski, funding is around 90 percent, or $22,000 of the $25,000 goal.
On the lake before the show, Culver’s ‘Custard Cruise? boat will sell frozen custard, which the restaurant donated; proceeds will go to the Fireworks Association.
Skalnek Ford will also be on the lake with three boats seeking donations from party-goers. And two privately-owned boats will sell hotdogs and necklaces.
The show starts at dark, around 10 p.m., Saturday, July 3, and will last just over 40 minutes, Cyrowski said.
