This year, the Village of Lake Orion was allocated $8,493 by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The village council will take public input on how to use the money at their Nov. 8 regular meeting, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
CDBG funds are meant for developing opportunities and viable living environments for low- to moderate-income people and families. For Lake Orion, the money can be used in the village boundaries east of M-24 and south of Shadbolt.
Viable projects start at $2,500.
Have an opinon on how the money should or shouldn’t be spent?
Stop by the village offices at 37 E. Flint Street for the meeting in council chambers.
