Briefly: Schrauger 5K Memorial run

The 4th Annual Schrauger Memorial 5K is set for Saturday, Nov. 20 at Lake Orion high school.
The race, organized by the Lake Orion High School Cross Country Team, was established in memory of brothers Josh and Tim Schrauger, who were killed in a car accident in 2007- just as the Schrauger family was holding vigil for another sibling who was injured in Iraq.
Race day registration opens at 8 a.m. The One Mile Fun Run kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 10 a.m. Participants can register online at active.com or by mail with a $20 check made payable to Schrauger Memorial 5K. Checks should be sent to:
Schrauger Memorial 5K, c/o Beth Sheridan, 1239 Cottonwood St., Lake Orion, MI 48360. The race raises awareness for organ donation; proceeds benefit Love INC.
