The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating eight apparently related breaking and entering reports in Springfield Township over the past two weeks.
According to Sgt. Mark Gardner, commander of the Springfield Township substation, most of the incidents occurred in the Big Lake Road area. Among the items taken from the homes were jewelry, guns, DVDs and tools.
Several of the incidents involved forced entry into the homes. Gardner recommends that citizens keep doors locked and use alarm systems where available.
‘We’re working on some leads, but we’re not sure where it will take us,? Gardner said.
