Those interested in running for Oxford Village Council have until 5 p.m. Friday, January 16 to file nominating petitions with the village clerk.
Council seats currently held by Renee Donovan and Dave Bailey are open for the Monday, March 8 village election. Each carries a three-year term of office.
Potential candidates must obtain a minimum of 25 valid petition signatures from registered village voters. A maximum of 50 signatures can be collected.
In order to run for council, you must be a village resident for at least six months, a registered voter, a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years of age.
