Lend A Helping Hand hosts Concerts in the Park, starting 6:30-9 p.m., Aug. 3, with entertainment by local musicians and One Nite Stand DJ’s.
On Aug. 10, 6:30-9 p.m., entertainment will be by Jessica Carmichael, a local singer and song-writer.
This is her third concert for Lend A Helping Hand.
‘Jessica has played for us for the past two summer’s and the audience loves to have her back,? said Michelle Phaup, founder and executive director of the volunteer-run organization.
Carmichael’s concert last year is currently airing on Clarkston’s Public Access station.
Each concert will include concessions and 50/50 raffles. All proceeds at this year’s concerts will benefit a local woman who has advanced breast cancer, to help pay for uninsured medical expenses.
‘We’re seeking sponsors and donations for this event,? Phaup said.
