Grand Blanc — On Jan. 4 the Goodrich Lady Martians opened the new year with a win over the Grand Blanc Bobcats in a non conference game 55-39.
The game was part of the annual Carmody Classic hosted by Grand Blanc.
GHS Baylor Lauinger had 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists; Ella Place 11 points and three assists, Kaylee Eickhoff nine points and six rebounds, and Ella Aagesen nine points.
On Jan. 7, the Lady Martians retuned home and defeated their neighbors the Brandon Blackhawks 87-10. All 12 Martians scored in the victory with GHS Kayla Hairston 13 points, five assists and four steals: Tanner Schram 12 points, five steals and three assists; Kaylee Eickhoff nine points
CeCe Wilson eight points, Riley Jock eight points  and Ali Andre six points and three assists.
The Lady Martians have won five of their last six games, improving the 2024-25 season with 7-2 record.
