As part of their February Intersession, Carpenter Elementary students traveled to the Great Lakes Athletic Club and learned how to take care of their bodies by exercising their muscles, heart and lungs in a program titled: ‘A Look Inside the Human Body.? The kids toured the facility on Baldwin Road, and learned how each piece of exercise equipment helps the human body stay physically fit. Of course, there was also some time for fun, as the students learned how to rock climb, swim and participated in an aerobic fitness class. Photo submitted.
