About 100 men, women and children volunteered May 5 to clean up Nels Kimball Sanctuary near I-75 and M-15. Volunteers with North Oakland Headwaters Land Conservancy and Thrivant Financial for Lutherans spread wood chips, removed invasive plants, and built a bridge.
