Orion Township will expend 2004 Community Development Block Grant funds to five agencies through contracts.
The board voted recently to authorize the supervisor to sign contracts with each agency once the appropriate insurance coverage paperwork has been provided.
The township will contract with the following agencies: Transportation (North Oakland Transportation Authority-sole source provider), Swim Lessons/Camp Program (Orion Area Youth Assistance-sole source provider), Battered Residents (HAVEN-sole source provider), Home Chore (Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency-only agency to provide proposal), and Needy Residents (Lighthouse-only agency to provide proposal).
