In a time when many banks are struggling and worrying about the future, Chase Bank is planning to build a new facility in Oxford.
On Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m., the Oxford Twp. Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing as it considers whether or not to grant special land use approval to allow a proposed 4,454-square-foot Chase banking center to operate a drive-through area.
The proposed facility would employee 10 people and be located at the southeast corner of M-24 and Ray Road on a 1.45-acre outlot that’s part of the Meijer site.
Chase Bank already has a branch office in Oxford located at the northwest corner of M-24 and Drahner Rd.
Mary Kay Bean, spokesperson for Chase, declined to comment on the bank’s plans.
‘We usually don’t talk about our projects for competitive reasons until we’re actually doing construction,? she said.
