Santa Claus officially comes to town on Dec. 6.
The annual 2003 Orion Area Holiday Lighted Parde in downtown Lake Orion begins at 6 p.m.
It starts at Blanche Sims Elementary School, heads south on Florence, west on Flint, south on Anderson, west on Front then north on Broadway, ending at the Ehman Center on Elizabeth Street.
LO Police Chief Jerry Narsh is asking people to not park on Broadway Street from Front to Elizabeth Street beginning at noon.
Due to the parade route and size, the police department is restricitn traffic along the parade route beginning at 5 p.m. The parade route will be closed to traffic at 5:30 p.m.
It’s estimated that the parade will last for one hour.
Narsh said non-parade goers should consider using an alternate route during these times when entering the downtown area.
