Cigarettes stolen, Citgo gas station break-in

Ortonville- Thieves took 19 cartons of cigarettes and a case of lottery tickets after breaking into the Citgo gas station early Tuesday morning.
According to police reports, at 3:50 a.m., a passerby told deputies the front door to the gas station at 495 Ortonville Road was broken with glass everywhere. Deputies investigated and found the door smashed. The manager of the station arrived and confirmed that 19 cases of Newport cigarettes were taken and a display case of lottery tickets was gone.
Video from security cameras showed three individuals all dressed in black pants and black hooded sweatshirts (with the hoods up) as well as gloves and something black covering their faces breaking in. The thieves all stood about five feet tall and used a black crowbar to break the glass around 2:42 a.m.
A K-9 track led to the Kearsley Creek Apartments and ended in the parking lot. The case is open. Anyone with information can call the Brandon substation at 248-627-4911.
